Ecom store mega menu AB test
To increase revenue per session on our clients mega menu.
We discovered through user behavior analysis that people were struggling to reach their desired products quickly on the menu. This was mainly due to an unintuitive and non-friendly UI/UX design on the menu and inadequate filtering options. These barriers hindered the overall shopping experience, leading us to believe that optimizing these areas could significantly increase revenue per session.
We added super simple to use tabs at the top of the menu that easily allowed users to toggle between Women and Men.
We used clear dividers in between each mega menu option and added an image thumbnail as people associate with images way more than text. This helps people visualize exactly what they’re looking for.
We separated the “Ecom related links” and the “Informational links”. This created a better shopping experience within the menu itself and kept the unimportant (less cash generating) links separate.
